P2149: A diagnostic trouble code indicating an open circuit in the supply voltage of fuel injector group B.


P2149 Fuel Injector Group B Supply Voltage Circuit Open

Code symptoms P2149.

1. Engine misfires or rough idle.

2. Decreased engine performance.

3. Engine stalling.

4. Check engine light illuminated.


This code is common in brands such as:: Chevrolet, Renault, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, Honda.

Causes of the code P2149.

1. Faulty fuel injector.
2. Wiring issue.
3. Poor electrical connection.
4. Fuse or relay failure.
5. ECU malfunction.


Code Solutions P2149.

1. Inspect the wiring and connectors in the fuel injector Group B supply voltage circuit for any signs of damage, corrosion, or loose connections. Repair or replace as necessary.

2. Check the fuse related to the fuel injector Group B supply voltage circuit to ensure it is not blown. Replace the fuse if needed.

3. Test the fuel injector Group B supply voltage circuit with a multimeter to verify that there is voltage present. If no voltage is detected, troubleshoot the circuit to identify and resolve the issue.

4. Reset the engine control module (ECM) to see if the fault code clears. If the code persists, consider reprogramming or replacing the ECM.

5. If all else fails, seek assistance from a qualified mechanic or dealership with access to diagnostic equipment to further diagnose and repair the issue with the fuel injector Group B supply voltage circuit.
