Code symptoms P2137.

– Engine stalling or hesitation
– Loss of power while driving
– Sudden acceleration or deceleration
– Illuminated check engine light

This code is common in brands such as:: Chevrolet, Renault, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, Honda.

Causes of the code P2137.

1. Faulty throttle position sensor
2. Faulty pedal position sensor
3. Corrosion or poor connections in the wiring harness
4. Throttle body malfunction
5. Electronic throttle control module issues

Code Solutions P2137.

1. Inspect the throttle position sensor (TPS) and pedal position sensor (PPS) for any signs of damage or wear. Replace the sensor if necessary.
2. Check the wiring harness connecting the sensors to the engine control module (ECM) for any loose or corroded connections. Repair or replace any damaged wiring.
3. Perform a reset or relearn procedure for the TPS and PPS sensors using a professional diagnostic tool.
4. Clean the throttle body and ensure it is free from any carbon build-up or debris that could be affecting sensor readings.
