Code P2135 Symptoms, Causes and Solutions.

P2135 is a diagnostic trouble code that indicates a discrepancy between the voltage signals from the throttle position sensor and the pedal position sensor in a vehicle’s engine control system.

P2135 Throttle/Pedal Pos Sensor/Switch A B Voltage Correlation

Code symptoms P2135.

1. Loss of power or response from the accelerator pedal
2. Vehicle acceleration may feel sluggish
3. Engine may go into limp mode or reduce power
4. Check engine light may illuminate on the dashboard

This code is common in brands such as:: Chevrolet, Renault, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, Honda.

Causes of the code P2135.

1. Faulty throttle position sensor (TPS)
2. Malfunctioning pedal position sensor
3. Corrosion or poor connection in the electrical system associated with the sensors
4. Issues with the throttle body or accelerator pedal assembly
5. Wiring harness problems or damage to the sensors

Code Solutions P2135.

1. Check the throttle position sensor (TPS) and pedal position sensor (PPS) for any signs of damage or wear. Replace them if necessary.
2. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors for any faults such as fraying, corrosion, or loose connections. Repair or replace as needed.
3. Perform a throttle body and pedal relearn procedure using a diagnostic scan tool to recalibrate the sensors.
4. Check the battery voltage and ensure it is within the manufacturer’s specified range. Replace the battery if it is weak or faulty.
5. Clear the trouble code using a scan tool and monitor the sensors while driving to ensure that the code does not reappear. If it does, further diagnostic testing may be necessary to identify the underlying issue.
