The P2079 trouble code indicates indicates an intermittent issue with the Intake Manifold Tuning (IMT) valve position sensor or switch circuit in Bank 1.

Code symptoms P2079.

1. Intermittent activation of the Check Engine Light (CEL) or Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL).
2. Occasional rough idling or engine hesitation.
3. Momentary reduction in engine performance or power output.


This code is common in brands such as:: Chevrolet, Renault, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, Honda.

Causes of the code P2079.

1. Loose or poor electrical connections related to the Intake Manifold Tuning (IMT) valve position sensor or switch circuit.
2. Wiring harness issues, such as intermittent shorts, opens, or damage.
3. Intermittent failure of the IMT valve position sensor or switch.


Code Solutions P2079.
