Code P2068 Symptoms, Causes and Solutions.

The P2068 trouble code indicates a high voltage condition in the fuel level sensor “B” circuit.


P2068 Fuel Level Sensor “B” Circuit High

Code symptoms P2068.

1. Illumination of the Check Engine Light (CEL) or Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL).
2. Inaccurate or erratic fuel gauge readings, often showing a higher than actual fuel level.
3. Fuel gauge stuck on full, even when the tank is not fully filled.


This code is common in brands such as:: Chevrolet, Renault, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, Honda.

Causes of the code P2068.

1. Faulty fuel level sensor “B”.
2. Corrosion, damage, or poor connection in the fuel level sensor “B” wiring harness or connectors.
3. Short circuit to voltage in the fuel level sensor “B” circuit.
4. Issues with the instrument cluster or its circuitry.


Code Solutions P2068.

1. Inspect the fuel level sensor “B” and replace it if it’s defective.
2. Check the wiring harness and connectors associated with the fuel level sensor “B” for any signs of corrosion, damage, or poor connection. Repair or replace them as necessary.
3. Test for any short circuits to voltage in the fuel level sensor “B” circuit and repair them accordingly.
4. If all else fails, consider inspecting the instrument cluster and its circuitry for any issues.
