Code P2066 Symptoms, Causes and Solutions.

The P2066 trouble code indicates that there is a performance issue with the fuel level sensor “B” circuit.


P2066 Fuel Level Sensor “B” Circuit Performance

Code symptoms P2066.

1. Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) or Check Engine Light (CEL) illuminated.
2. Inaccurate fuel gauge readings.
3. Fuel gauge fluctuates erratically while driving.
4. Fuel gauge stuck on empty or full.


This code is common in brands such as:: Chevrolet, Renault, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, Honda.

Causes of the code P2066.

1. Faulty fuel level sensor “B”.
2. Corrosion or damage to the fuel level sensor “B” wiring harness or connectors.
3. Poor electrical connection in the fuel level sensor “B” circuit.
4. Faulty instrument cluster or powertrain control module (PCM).


Code Solutions P2066.

1. Inspect the fuel level sensor “B” and replace if faulty.
2. Check the fuel level sensor “B” wiring harness and connectors for corrosion or damage. Clean or repair as necessary.
3. Ensure proper electrical connections in the fuel level sensor “B” circuit. Repair any loose or damaged connections.
4. Perform a diagnostic scan tool test to check the instrument cluster and PCM for faults. Replace or reprogram as needed.
