The P0963 trouble code relates to the pressure control solenoid “A” control circuit, indicating a high voltage condition.

Code symptoms P0963.

1. Erratic shifting behavior.
2. Poor transmission performance.
3. Delayed or harsh shifting.
4. The Check Engine Light (CEL) may be illuminated.


Causes of the code P0963.

1. Faulty pressure control solenoid “A”.
2. High voltage supply to the pressure control solenoid “A” control circuit.
3. Wiring or connector issues in the pressure control solenoid “A” control circuit.
4. Faulty transmission control module (TCM).


Code Solutions P0963.

1. Test and replace the pressure control solenoid “A” if it is faulty.
2. Check the voltage supply to the pressure control solenoid “A” control circuit using a multimeter. Repair any issues with high voltage supply.
3. Inspect the wiring and connectors in the pressure control solenoid “A” control circuit for any damage, corrosion, or loose connections. Repair or replace any damaged wiring or connectors.
4. Diagnose and replace the faulty transmission control module (TCM) if necessary.
