Code P0930 Symptoms, Causes and Solutions.

The P0930 trouble code indicates that there is a low voltage condition detected in the gear shift lock solenoid or actuator control circuit “A”. The gear shift lock solenoid or actuator is responsible for preventing the shifting mechanism from moving out of park without the brake pedal being depressed. A low voltage condition in this circuit can prevent the gear shift lock solenoid or actuator from functioning properly.


P0930 Gear Shift Lock Solenoid/Actuator Control Circuit “A” Low

Code symptoms P0930.

1. Unable to shift out of park.
2. Difficulty shifting out of park.
3. Intermittent or inconsistent ability to shift out of park.
4. Check Engine Light illuminated.


Causes of the code P0930.

1. Low voltage supply to the gear shift lock solenoid or actuator control circuit “A”.
2. Faulty gear shift lock solenoid or actuator.
3. Wiring or connector issues in the gear shift lock solenoid or actuator control circuit “A”.
4. Corroded or damaged terminals in the gear shift lock solenoid or actuator control circuit “A” connectors.


Code Solutions P0930.

1. Check the voltage supply to the gear shift lock solenoid or actuator control circuit “A” using a multimeter. Repair any issues with low voltage supply.
2. Inspect the gear shift lock solenoid or actuator for any signs of damage or malfunction and replace if necessary.
3. Check the wiring and connectors in the gear shift lock solenoid or actuator control circuit “A” for damage or corrosion. Repair or replace any damaged wiring or connectors.
4. Thoroughly inspect the terminals in the gear shift lock solenoid or actuator control circuit “A” connectors for corrosion or damage. Clean or replace any affected terminals.
