Code P0619 Symptoms, Causes and Solutions.

The P0619 trouble code indicates that there is a RAM or ROM error in the Alternative Fuel Control Module. RAM (Random Access Memory) and ROM (Read Only Memory) are types of memory used in electronic control modules to store and retrieve data.


Alternative Fuel Control Module RAM/ROM Error

Code symptoms P0619.

1. Check Engine Light (CEL) illuminated on the dashboard.
2. The vehicle may experience drivability issues, such as rough idling or hesitation.
3. Reduced fuel efficiency.
4. Vehicle may enter a limp mode.


This code is common in brands such as:: Chevrolet, Renault, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, Honda.

Causes of the code P0619.

1. Faulty Alternative Fuel Control Module.
2. Electrical wiring issues, such as short circuits or open circuits, in the module’s wiring harness.
3. Corroded or loose electrical connectors related to the Alternative Fuel Control Module.
4. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software issues.


Code Solutions P0619.

1. Check the wiring and connectors associated with the Alternative Fuel Control Module for any signs of damage, corrosion, or looseness. Repair or replace wiring and connectors as needed.
2. Inspect the module itself for signs of damage or corrosion. Replace the module if necessary.
3. Perform a thorough diagnostic scan of the vehicle’s PCM to check for any related software issues. Update or reflash the PCM as needed.
4. Clear the trouble codes and test drive the vehicle to see if the P0619 code returns. If it does, further diagnosis may be necessary.
