Code P0497 Symptoms, Causes and Solutions.

The P0497 trouble code indicates that the evaporative emission (EVAP) system has detected low purge flow. The EVAP system is designed to capture and store fuel vapors from the fuel tank and then later purge them into the intake manifold for combustion. If the purge flow is lower than expected, it may indicate a blockage or restriction in the EVAP system, preventing the proper flow of vapors.
