Code P2102 Symptoms, Causes and Solutions.

P2102 is a diagnostic trouble code indicating a low voltage condition in the throttle actuator “A” control motor circuit.

P2102 Throttle Actuator “A” Control Motor Circuit Low

Code symptoms P2102.

1. Engine stalling.

2. Reduced acceleration.

3. Check engine light.

4. Reduced fuel efficiency.

This code is common in brands such as:: Chevrolet, Renault, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, Honda.

Causes of the code P2102.

1. Faulty throttle actuator control motor
2. Wiring or connection issues in the throttle actuator control motor circuit
3. Defective throttle position sensor
4. Corrosion or damage to the electrical components related to the throttle actuator control motor
5. Issues with the Engine Control Module (ECM) or Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

Code Solutions P2102.

1. Check the throttle actuator control motor for any physical damage or corrosion that may be causing a low circuit. Replace or repair as necessary.

2. Inspect the wiring and connectors associated with the throttle actuator control motor for any signs of damage, wear, or poor connections. Repair or replace any faulty wiring or connectors.

3. Perform a thorough diagnosis using a multi-meter to test the voltage and resistance within the throttle actuator control motor circuit to pinpoint the exact location of the issue.

4. Reset the throttle actuator control motor and clear any stored fault codes using a diagnostic scanner to see if the code returns after a test drive.

5. If the issue persists, consider replacing the throttle actuator control motor to ensure proper functionality of the system.
