Code P0995 Symptoms, Causes and Solutions.

The code P0995 indicates a high voltage condition in the transmission fluid pressure sensor or switch “F” circuit.

Code symptoms P0995.

– Harsh shifting
– Transmission slipping or delayed response
– Check engine light illuminated
– Difficulty shifting gears


Causes of the code P0995.

1. Faulty transmission fluid pressure sensor or switch “F”
2. Voltage supply issues to the sensor or switch
3. Corroded or damaged wiring connections related to the sensor or switch
4. Issues with the transmission control module (TCM)
5. Internal issues within the transmission causing abnormal pressure readings


Code Solutions P0995.

1. Check the wiring and connectors connected to the transmission fluid pressure sensor or switch “F” for any damage or loose connections.

2. Inspect the transmission fluid pressure sensor or switch “F” itself to ensure it is functioning correctly and replace it if necessary.

3. Reset the fault codes using a diagnostic scanner and see if the issue persists. Sometimes a temporary fault can trigger the code.

4. Verify that the transmission fluid level is correct and that it is in good condition. Low or contaminated fluid can affect sensor readings.

5. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, seek professional help from a qualified mechanic or dealership for further diagnosis and repair.
