Code P0994 Symptoms, Causes and Solutions.

The P0994 code indicates a low voltage condition in the transmission fluid pressure sensor or switch “F” circuit.

P0994 Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch “F” Circuit Low

Code symptoms P0994.

– Transmission slipping
– Delayed or rough shifting
– Harsh shifting
– Illuminated check engine light

Causes of the code P0994.

1. Faulty transmission fluid pressure sensor or switch “F”
2. Short circuit in the wiring connected to the sensor or switch “F”
3. Corrosion or poor connections in the sensor or switch “F” circuit
4. Low transmission fluid level affecting the sensor or switch “F” operation
5. Internal transmission issue affecting the pressure sensor or switch “F” circuit

Code Solutions P0994.

1. Check the wiring harness and connectors for any damage or corrosion. Repair or replace any damaged wires or connectors.
2. Inspect the transmission fluid pressure sensor or switch “F” for any signs of physical damage or malfunction. Replace the sensor or switch if necessary.
3. Clear the trouble codes from the vehicle’s computer using a scan tool and see if the code P0994 reappears. If it does, further diagnosis may be needed.
4. Perform a transmission fluid level and condition check to ensure there are no issues with the fluid that could be causing the low circuit pressure reading.
5. Check for any other related trouble codes that may be present and address them as needed to ensure proper functioning of the transmission system.
