Code P0615 Symptoms, Causes and Solutions.

The P0615 trouble code indicates an issue with the starter relay circuit. This circuit is responsible for controlling the operation of the starter relay, which in turn controls power to the starter motor.

1. Difficulty starting the engine.
2. Engine may not crank at all when the ignition key is turned.
3. Check Engine Light (CEL) illuminated on the dashboard.


This code is common in brands such as:: Chevrolet, Renault, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, Honda.

Causes of the code P0615.

1. Faulty starter relay.
2. Open or shorted wiring in the starter relay circuit.
3. Corroded or loose electrical connections related to the starter relay circuit.
4. Faulty ignition switch.
5. Faulty PCM (Powertrain Control Module), though this is less common.
