Code P0597 Symptoms, Causes and Solutions.

The P0597 trouble code indicates that there is an open circuit detected in the thermostat heater control circuit. Modern engines use a thermostat to regulate engine temperature. The thermostat heater helps to warm up the thermostat quickly to allow the engine to reach operating temperature more efficiently. An open circuit in this circuit can prevent the thermostat from heating up properly, affecting engine performance and emissions.
